Susan Oaks is a Professor and Mentor/Advisor at SUNY Empire State College. She teaches a wide array of writing courses: academic, creative and professional. She co-developed an online writing center and develops and coordinates online courses in the areas of writing, literature, and prior learning assessment. She received a BA from Elmira College, MA from SUNY Albany, and a PhD from NYU. She writes and presents in the areas of online learning, writing instruction, and prior learning assessment. This is her first COIL collaboration with students in Lebanon.
